   EXPORTING YOUR DATA

Currently, downloading your database into Microsoft Access will require an additional step. You will need to save your displayed grid in Excel, HTML or XML format. Once the file is saved to your hard drive, you can import that file into Access. Importing capabilities may be limited based on your version of Microsoft Access.

IMPORTING INTO ACCESS

1) Save the data file.

...Select the location to you wish to save the file and specify the name of the file, then click Save. It is recommended to save the file to "My Documents" or "Desktop" to make it easy for you to locate the file when you attempt to import it into Access.

2) Import

  1. Open Microsoft Access.
  2. Create a new blank database.
  3. Click File --> Get External Data --> Import
  4. Navigate to the directory in which your data file is saved.
  5. Select the valid file type from the drop down list at the foot of the Import form.
  6. Select the applicable file in the file list.
  7. Click the Import button.
    1. Excel & HTML Import Wizard
      1. Ensure "First Row Contains Column Headings" box is checked then click Next.
      2. The remainder of the import wizard options will be tailored to your needs.
    2. XML Import
      1. There are less options and user intervention with this method than Excel or HTML.
      2. Click the Options button to specify if you wish to "Append Data to Existing Table(s)".
      3. Click OK

NOTE: Exporting using XML is the preferred method for beginner Microsoft Access users.

NOTE: Data importing availablity and procedures may vary due to your version of Microsoft Access. Some versions of Access require you to open and save your downloaded Excel file before importing the data to Access.

VIEWING YOUR UPS TRACKING NUMBER

You can view the status of each package that is sent from our facility via UPS. Simply click on the tracking number of the shipment you wish to view. A new internet browser window will be opened and will connect to UPS's website. The tracking number you clicked will automatically be displayed in the browser without any extra typing or navigation.
